Meow Bento

Love my Sleeping Mio bento box. It reminds me of my Si and his little friends, the micey.

Top layer: Blackberries, tomatoes (out of picture), Cheddar Cheese, fat green olives (out of picture), and Japanese style KimChee!

Bottom layer: tuna with mayo and wasabi.

Separate Hello Kitty container: Saltines.

The Sum is Greater Than The Parts Bento

Indigo rabbit bento box is so sweet and could brighten any cold foggy day. All those happy bunnies coming to work with me.

Inside we have teri chicken with strawberries and blueberries, and we have kimchee in its own little container. Love the chunky pieces!

Still doing salads. So fun to eat with chopsticks too. My chopstick skillz are improving! Rah!

How about you? Do you eat with chopsticks?

A berry nice bento & oodles of noodles bento

A couple of bentos from last week. The top one is mini pita bread with cheese and salami slices. The little bear dispenser holds dijon mustard. The other level is strawberries, blackberries, and a small dish of hummus. Tasty!

The bottom bento is my oodles of noodles attempt. So good. Somen noodles in a vinegar, sesame oil, and soy sauce mixture with a little bottle on the side and sliced pork. The other level is tangerine and kumquat slices, strawberries, and blackberries, and a goofy panda pick to make me smile, although this box helps with that.

Ray of Light Bento

Leftovers, sigh, leftovers.
This couldn't have been any better. From a Kai Lana Sushi and Seafood lunch with the addition of tiny red tomatoes and a hardy white wine.

Botan Rice Candy Bento

"Each candy has an edible inner wrapper that melts in your mouth."

Like right now - Yum!

Also, "FREE CHILDREN'S STICKER INSIDE"  That would be the "HELP! VOOM" sticker shown in the lower left corner.

Another candy - Yum!

Okay. I made brown rice for that heart healthy month when we all see red. Orange bell peppers with Brussel sprouts leaves saute with pork strips on a bed of scrambled egg. Just one egg with the most orange yolk. (You can't see it.)

Cute as a button bunny pick with heart eyes and a "kiss" nose pokes strawberries.

Blurry Lines

This is not bento. And lines are blurring (in more ways than one). But I thought this wood cut was beautiful and it's Sunday, and I think Sunday is about beautiful good times.

We had such a fun day. I made miso soup, rice and sausages. We drank sake, looked at Japanese art, and dance to old rock and roll.

Lunch Today

We went out for Japanese food today to Shin's in SLO near the Fremont Theater. I'd rate it 2 stars out of 5. Sorry no pictures. (My PAS died.) The servings were of generous portions but the food was not so great. (Hah! I just burped it up.) Reminds of the time someone was telling me about the local truck stop restaurant.
them: "yeah greasy food"
me: "oh yeah"
them: "but lots of it!!!!"

I had to spit out my last bite at Shin's. Dang! I hate that!
