Cheese and Crackers in my Paris Bento Box

A week or so ago I made this bento with Paris on my mind. What a world we live in. Such evil and such goodness.

I like a lunch like this - a little bit of everything. We have black grapes and dried pears in one box. A mix of cheese, tapenade hummus, purple radishes, and a Bubbies dill pickle in the other. Crackers on the side.

Pink Bear Bento

A cut up pink lady apple with pink bear pic, cut radishes, and kimchi.

I am suspicious of what this bear might be doing. I've known a lot of boys in my life, and when they strike this pose, it usually means one thing.

Chips and Tomatoes Bento

Chips and dip, and tomatoes and mustard are in addition to a tuna salad on a homemade bun. I put wasabi with the mayo in the tuna. Pow!

Mache Bento with Pineapple

Brought this supplemental bento with me to work last week. Also had a ham sammie. So the pineapple went well with that. The walnuts and dark chocolate were a perfect 3 o'clock snack, and the green stuff is called mache with an accent on the e from my garden. And despite mache being a cool weather green, it is still growing out there under a first year artichoke in 98 degree spring heat!

Pretty Pink Paris Bento

This bento was from last week and it has much of the same components as previous and future bentos. Such is life.

That is when the role of the bento box itself is important. It's makes the similar seem more fun.

It also helps to have friendly little sauce bottles to greet you at lunchtime.

A Little Bento Love

I made this bento last week for Tuesday's lunch. Little rice balls with Nama Shoyu and Hello Kitty kimchee sprinkles, a couple slices of steak in the top tier. The other tier has homemade cucumber pickles, garlic olives, and artichoke heart slices with a dollop of mayo.

I still love bento, so here's a little bento love.

Cheery Cherry Bento

Hello!

Bento today was in my lovely pink narrow box. Not too complicated though. More of my pastys. Cherries. And a nice chunk of chocolate.

My ode to Wednesday.

Bunnie Bento

My super thin Paris bento box makes a debut here with rice balls, meatballs and a slice of tomato in the bottom layer. The white lid with chopsticks seals that layer. The top layer has strawberries, lettuce, some Mike and Ike candies, and apple slices. The pink and black top has flaps that snap down firmly on both layers.

I really like the unique shape of this bento and the size was perfect!
